Company History
Bannisters Surveyors have had a long association with Felixstowe and the property market, since as far back as 1926, when the founder Herbert Bannister moved up from London and opened an estate agency in the Felixstowe train station yard.
He retired in the late 1950’s when his son Bill Bannister took over the business, and became the first local Chartered Surveyors, alongside an estate agency, auction house and a property lettings and management section.
In the late 1990’s, Chartered Surveyor Richard Bannister, was the third generation of the family to join the business.
In the following years, it was decided to sell on the management and agency to focus on the core business of residential building surveying and valuation work in the Suffolk Coastal area, primarily in the Felixstowe area where the company has accrued over 90 years of local knowledge and records.

– Help to identify potential hidden or developing defects
– Give you an opinion on the current market value and buildings insurance
